My Review:
This book had a lot of ideas for me to ponder. There were some lines in it that really struck a cord with me. Is love good or bad? Are we better for having it in our lives? Several different relationships were used to explore the idea of love. I especially enjoyed the chapter headings which gave insight into the fundamental ideas that the characters have.
Warnings: Minimal foul language, teens lying and sneaking around to get what they want.
I would cautiously let my 13 year old read this. I would definitely have a discussion with her about not breaking so many rules to get what she wants.

I concur. This was one of those books that made me ignore my family for two days. I really liked her writing. Have you read her other book "Before I Fall"? It takes place in a high school today and I could practically smell the cafeteria food. It freaked me out about having a daughter in high school. Or a son.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read her other book, this is my first. Do I want to smell cafeteria food?
